Privacy Policy

What we collect

You can browse YourRoute without creating an account. If you create an account, we may receive your email address, display name and, if you choose to provide it, your grade or school year. We also store account features you use, such as saved opportunities and notification preferences.

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the basic account information needed to sign you in, such as your email address and profile name. We do not receive your Google password.

Usage analytics

We collect limited product analytics so we can understand how the catalogue is used and improve it. This can include page and opportunity views, searches, filters, application-link clicks, saves, device category, referring website and a country-level code supplied by our hosting provider.

Analytics use a random session identifier stored in session storage and a random browser identifier stored in local storage. We do not use browser fingerprinting, precise GPS location or advertising identifiers, and we do not store raw IP addresses in the analytics table.

How we use information

We use information to operate accounts, keep saved opportunities available, provide requested features, protect the service, understand product usage, improve the catalogue and troubleshoot problems. We do not sell personal information or use it to build advertising profiles.

Service providers and external links

YourRoute uses service providers to run the site, including Supabase for authentication and database services and Vercel for hosting. Google is involved only when you choose Google sign-in. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Opportunity pages link to external organisers. Once you leave YourRoute, the organiser's own privacy practices apply. We do not control those external websites.

Your choices

You can browse without an account, leave the grade field blank, sign out at any time and clear browser storage to reset local analytics identifiers. You may also request help with account or privacy matters using the support contact provided through the YourRoute authentication flow.

Younger users

YourRoute is designed mainly for secondary-school students. If the law where you live requires parental or guardian permission to use an online service, use YourRoute only with that permission.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here before or when they take effect.
