Wharton Global High School Investment Competition 2026–2027

The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition gives teams of high-school students a realistic introduction to investing and financial strategy. Using a client case study and the Wharton Investment Simulator, teams research markets, companies and industries, manage a virtual portfolio, write an Investment Policy Statement, and submit a comprehensive final report explaining their strategy. Semifinals are virtual, while the top teams advance to the Global Finale at the Wharton School in Philadelphia and may participate either in person or virtually.

Open to current high-school students worldwide. For YourRoute, Grades 9–12 are represented as ages 14–18. Teams must contain 4–6 students from the same high school and be guided by a teacher or educator advisor from that same school. The designated student team leader must be at least 16 by 28 September 2026. Participants must not have graduated from secondary school before the competition begins.

A teacher/educator advisor must register the team; students may not register themselves. The advisor completes registration and creates the team account. Registered teams later submit an official roster, Investment Policy Statement, school documentation and a comprehensive final report through Wharton’s competition platforms.
