About this opportunity
USAEBO 2027 runs two online individual rounds testing economics and business reasoning. Round 1 is open broadly by citizenship and location, while the strongest students advance to Round 2. Five eligible students are ultimately selected for Team USA at the International Economics Olympiad.
Who can apply
Round 1 is open to students of any citizenship who meet the official age requirement of 20 or younger; YourRoute displays the 14–18 target range. To be eligible for Team USA, a student must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or a full-time middle/high-school student studying in the United States.
What you'll need to apply
Register individually through the official USAEBO portal, complete the required proctoring setup and take the digital Round 1 exam. Qualifiers advance to Round 2.
