About this opportunity

Richmond Scholars is the University of Richmond’s premier merit award for first-year applicants who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and potential to contribute meaningfully to their communities. International students receive full consideration for merit scholarships. Students who submit a complete admission application by the scholarship deadline are automatically considered; no separate scholarship application is required. Scholars receive full tuition, housing and food for up to eight semesters and access to additional academic-development support.

Who can apply

Open to first-year degree-seeking applicants, including international students and non-U.S. citizens. Applicants must submit a complete University of Richmond admission application by the scholarship deadline. YourRoute represents high-school seniors applying for first-year admission as ages 17–18.

What you'll need to apply

Submit a complete first-year admission application to the University of Richmond by the deadline. No separate Richmond Scholars application or additional scholarship materials are required. International applicants must also complete the university’s international admission requirements, including the Certification of Financial Responsibility where required.
