About this opportunity
The AI Research Fellowship is Research Ignited’s advanced 1:1 research pathway for students who want to turn AI skills into an original research project. Across 10–15 individual sessions, a PhD mentor guides the student through literature review, research-question design, methods and model development, experiments, analysis and academic writing, ending in a submission-ready research paper.
Who can apply
Open to students in grades 9–12. The program is intended for students ready to conduct serious original AI research; the AI Scholars Program or equivalent AI/Python experience is recommended.
What you'll need to apply
Submit the Research Ignited research-mentorship application with student grade, academic/background information, research field and goals. Admission is rolling and the program can start after mentor matching.

Cost: Paid
$2,500 per student. Optional journal publication support costs an additional $400.
