About this opportunity
IYEC’s Senior Category invites young people to investigate an environmental challenge and propose an innovative, feasible solution. Students can work individually or in teams and choose themes including ecosystems, water, air pollution, circular economy, climate resilience and environmental data or technology. Submissions can take several formats, including essays, videos, recorded speeches or creative digital media, and prizes include scholarship awards and certificates.
Who can apply
Senior Category: ages 14–18. Individual or team participation is allowed and no prior experience is required. Registration is free and the organizer describes the competition as global, with participants from 50+ countries; Saudi participation is directly evidenced by a prior Grade 11 regional winner from Jazan.
What you'll need to apply
Submit an original project through the official online form. Accepted formats include a 500–1,000 word essay, 1–5 minute video, recorded speech or other creative digital media. Work must be in English or include English subtitles, use proper attribution, and be accessible through a digital link.
