Global Virtual Hackathon 2026

Offered by Canadian International School, Singapore

A free international online hackathon for students aged 14–18, where teams build a technical project under a sealed challenge and then defend their work through an on-camera technical interview.

About this opportunity

Hosted by Canadian International School in Singapore, the Global Virtual Hackathon 2026 asks teams to build a working project during a seven-day sealed challenge and then demonstrate that they understand and own their work. Teams submit a public code repository and progress through a personalised on-camera interview; finalists defend their projects live before judges. Junior and senior divisions separate ages 14–15 and 16–18, and cash prizes are awarded in each division.

Who can apply

Students must be aged 14–18 and may attend any school worldwide. Teams must contain 2–4 students and must name a supervising teacher. The whole team must be together in one location for the Round 2 recorded interview.

What you'll need to apply

Register one shared account per team, list the 2–4 student members and supervising teacher, complete the sealed challenge during the seven-day build period, maintain a public code repository, submit the working project, and complete the required on-camera technical interview.
