About this opportunity

The Robert W. Woodruff Scholarship is the founding award of the Emory Scholars Program and is awarded to the top tier of high-school applicants. It covers full tuition, required fees, on-campus room and meals for up to eight semesters, while also providing specialized advising, scholar programming, peer mentoring, networking and access to competitive summer funding opportunities. Students from any field of study can be considered.

Who can apply

Open to incoming Emory College first-year applicants. The scholarship seeks students motivated to be agents of positive social change who demonstrate strong promise in Emory’s Scholar qualities. YourRoute represents high-school applicants entering as first-year students as ages 17–18.

What you'll need to apply

Apply to Emory University through the Common Application by the scholar deadline and select Yes for Emory Scholars consideration. Submit the Common App personal statement, Emory short-answer responses, official high-school transcript, secondary-school report and two academic teacher recommendations. English proficiency evidence may be recommended for international applicants where applicable.

Cost: Paid

US$75 Emory undergraduate admission application fee; applicants may request a fee waiver. There is no separate Woodruff Scholarship application fee.
