Diamond Challenge 2027

Offered by Horn Entrepreneurship, University of Delaware

A global entrepreneurship competition for high-school students aged 14–18 who develop an original business or social-impact venture in teams and compete for a $100,000 prize pool.

About this opportunity

The Diamond Challenge, organized by Horn Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware, invites student teams to turn an original idea into a business or social venture concept. Teams submit a written concept narrative and a short introductory video, then qualifying teams advance to either a live pitch event or a virtual/pre-recorded pitch round. Finalists progress to the in-person Limitless World Summit, where top teams compete for major prize funding and present their ventures to judges and the wider entrepreneurship community.

Who can apply

Teams must consist of 2–4 high-school students aged 14–18 at the submission deadline and must include one adult advisor aged 21 or older. Students may participate on only one team and submit one concept per competition year. The competition is open globally. Concepts must not have generated more than $100,000 in total revenue before the submission deadline.

What you'll need to apply

Choose either the Business Innovation or Social Innovation track and select a live or virtual/pre-recorded pitch-round format. Submit a 3–5 page, double-spaced English concept narrative as a PDF and a publicly accessible introductory video of no more than 60 seconds. Teams that advance must prepare a pitch deck and either deliver a live pitch or submit a recorded pitch according to their selected format.
