About this opportunity
Cornell Engineers Without Borders and AlgoEd run this global science and engineering competition for high-school teams. Students first take an online STEM assessment covering mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics. Top teams then develop a solution to a real-world science problem in a pitch deck, with finalists presenting live on Zoom to a judging panel.
Who can apply
High-school category: Grades 9–12. Teams consist of 2–5 students, normally from the same school; the organizer allows teams to request an exception for a multi-school team. The preliminary round is open to registered teams worldwide.
What you'll need to apply
Register a team through the official competition portal and pay the applicable registration fee. The preliminary round is an online proctored STEM assessment. Advancing teams submit a science-solution pitch deck and finalists present live on Zoom. A school dashboard is optional and is not required for student registration.

Cost: Paid
US$35 per student by September 14, 2026; US$45 by December 14, 2026; US$55 by January 14, 2027. Individual low-income students may request a fee waiver before the regular deadline.
