A free national online 1v1 debate tournament for U.S. students, with high-school competitors able to qualify for the 2027 Coolidge Cup.
About this opportunity
The Coolidge Fall Online Open is a one-day national virtual tournament using the Coolidge 1v1 debate format. Students complete four preliminary rounds and debate a current public-policy/economics resolution using clear, evidence-based argumentation. High-school Open/Varsity competitors who finish undefeated earn bids to the 2027 Coolidge Cup National Championship.
Who can apply
Open to students currently residing in a U.S. state or territory and enrolled in grades 6–12. YourRoute displays the relevant age range 13–18. High-school students may enter Novice or Open/Varsity divisions. Independent and homeschool students are welcome.
What you'll need to apply
Create a free Tabroom account and register either independently/homeschool or through a participating school/team before the deadline. Judges are not required from entrants.
