Conrad Challenge 2026–2027

The Conrad Challenge brings together student teams from around the world to create original STEM-based innovations in areas such as aerospace, cybersecurity, energy, environment, health, and water. Teams begin by defining their idea and business model, then advance through an online innovation stage where they develop a detailed Innovation Brief and supporting materials. Top teams are invited to the Innovation Summit at Space Center Houston to pitch their ventures to expert judges and industry professionals.

Students must be 13–18 years old and compete in teams of 2–5 students. Each team must recruit an adult coach aged over 18. Team members may come from different schools, cities, or countries.

Register the full team and coach in the Conrad Portal; obtain legal guardian approval; select a Challenge category; identify the innovation; complete a Lean Canvas describing the problem, solution, market and business model. Teams advancing through Phase 2 must produce an Innovation Brief answering ten core questions about the innovation, impact, progress, market and business model.
