About this opportunity

The COBIS-SJS Model United Nations 2026–2027 brings students from COBIS member schools around the world to St Julian’s School in Lisbon for an immersive three-day MUN conference. Delegates represent countries and global stakeholders, debate political, social, and humanitarian issues, draft resolutions, negotiate alliances, and build consensus. The event is designed to develop public speaking, diplomacy, leadership, and global awareness, with participation supported regardless of a school’s previous MUN experience.

Who can apply

Students must be aged 14–18 at the dates of the MUN and enrolled in Years 10–13 UK equivalent. Participation is restricted to students from COBIS Member Schools.

What you'll need to apply

All bookings must be made by school staff through the official COBIS registration form. The school provides institutional, lead-teacher, finance-contact, student-count, and staff-count information, accepts the event terms and code of conduct, and completes payment by the required invoice deadline after confirmation.

Cost & funding

Cost: Paid

£115 + VAT per student, plus a £360 non-refundable deposit per school. Travel to and from Lisbon, accommodation, and evening meals are not included.
