About this opportunity
The Aspiring Scholars Directed Research Program (ASDRP) is a nonprofit research institution in Fremont, California. High school researchers work with experienced scientists and engineers on original projects across biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, engineering and other STEM fields. Spring 2027 research runs during the school year, and applicants outside the Bay Area may participate remotely.
Who can apply
Open to students currently enrolled in or entering grades 9–12. Applications are accepted from the Bay Area, other U.S. locations and international students. Students outside the Bay Area may work remotely. Prior research experience is not required.
What you'll need to apply
Application includes student and parent information, school information, short essays about STEM interests and preparation, a transcript, activity/commitment information, and preferred research fields. Recommendation letters are not required.
Cost & funding
Cost: Paid
$1,070 per semester. ASDRP states that financial assistance is not available to international students; international tuition payments are accepted via PayPal.
